Research Description:
- My research area is on automated database integration, where the processes needed to move information back and forth between databases are discovered with little human intervention. Because of the complexity of the problem (different designs, database contents, bad documentation...) it has traditionally been solved through human review. I work on automated methods that can integrate the data with a minimum amount of human involvement. Because of the continuous increase in the size, complexity and availability of databases, these methods are designed with scalability in mind.
- My second research area is Social Network Analysis (SNA) where I merge the database integration methods to network analysis methods to deal with extremely large data-sets where current evaluations methods fail.
